Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Each session is a personalized blend of movement, mindfulness, nervous-system support, and practical wellness tools. Depending on your goals, we may incorporate dance/movement therapy–informed practices, yoga, breathwork, strength or mobility work, sound bowls, reflective coaching, or oracle cards. You do not need to be “good” at movement or have prior experience—just arrive as you are.

Dance/movement therapy, usually referred to simply as dance therapy or DMT, is a type of therapy that uses movement to help individuals achieve emotional, cognitive, physical, and social integration. Beneficial for both physical and mental health, dance therapy can be used for stress reduction, disease prevention, and mood management. In addition, DMT's physical component offers increased muscular strength, coordination, mobility, and decreased muscular tension. Dance/movement therapy can be used with all populations and with individuals, couples, families, or groups. In general, dance therapy promotes self-awareness, self-esteem, and a safe space for the expression of feelings.

No. In a dance, yoga, or fitness class, the primary focus may be movement skills, exercise, strength, mobility, enjoyment, or learning a sequence. In DMT, movement is used within a therapeutic relationship to support emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration. A DMT experiential may feel creative, meaningful, and enjoyable—but it is not centered on performance or getting the “right” moves. (Check out my Blog post to View my lens on the difference) 💗

People often choose Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) informed work to build body awareness, reconnect with emotions, explore self-expression, strengthen coping tools, develop a more compassionate relationship with their body, and feel more connected to themselves or a group. Research suggests that DMT may support affect-related outcomes such as anxiety, depression, and quality of life, though every person’s experience and needs are different.

It can include elements of each, depending on the service you choose. Therapy is a clinical, therapeutic space focused on emotional processing and mental-health goals; coaching is more action-oriented and supports personal growth, habits, confidence, and aligned next steps. Yoga, fitness, sound bowls, and oracle cards are wellness practices that can support reflection, grounding, and self-connection, but they are not a substitute for medical or mental-health care.

Each experience is intentionally designed around a theme, such as nervous-system nourishment, self-trust, embodied confidence, creativity, rest, transition, or reconnecting with joy. Depending on the offering, sessions may include gentle movement, nature, creative art experientials, yoga, somatic exploration, breathwork, sound bowls, journaling, partner or group reflection, oracle-card prompts, coaching exercises, and spacious time to rest and integrate.

Meditation is a practice of quieting the mind and focusing on the present moment. It can help reduce stress, increase mindfulness, and improve overall well-being.

Yes, we offer a variety of group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, and cardio classes.

Not at all. My work is designed to meet you at your current level, whether you are brand new to movement, returning after time away, navigating stress, or looking to deepen an existing practice. I offer accessible options and encourage you to listen to your body rather than push past its limits.
